This is a guitar amplifier i built for my buddy Pete. The High-Octane was designed by the guys over at ax84.com. It’s a SET EL84 based amplifier capable of 5W. I added a variable cathode bias pot/circuit and parallel octal output. I DIYed the aluminum chassis and Pete built the enclosure, renaming it “Safire”. Pete operates a CNC for his day job and has mad woodworking, AutoCAD, and home brewing skills. In addition to providing nice cuts for my speaker cabs, he builds his own guitars.
